Student Services Assistant - Registrar's Office

51²è¹Ý¶ù is seeking a detail-oriented individual interested in a higher-education career. The ideal candidate will be a versatile self-starter who can work in student and administrative services with minimal supervision while providing office support, interacting effectively with various constituencies, including students, faculty, and staff, and successfully initiating and completing multiple assignments and projects.

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for conducting the registration process, planning and coordinating final examinations, maintaining student records, including grades, academic standings, and awards, and preparing transcripts and bar certifications. The office also processes deferments and is the primary reception area for the law school.

The Student Services Assistant handles front office reception and general office duties and requires good judgment and outstanding receptionist and customer service skills.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Effectively and efficiently managing a high volume of emails, telephone calls, and in-person inquiries about academic programs, procedures, and requirements;
  • Managing office calendars and events;
  • Exceptional database, document, and record management;
  • Text and numeric proofreading;
  • Portal editing and publishing; and
  • Special project coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and individually is required.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience in student or administrative services. The successful candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal, service, and verbal/written communication skills, strong organizational and planning abilities, and proficiency in computer programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Salary: $20.68/hour
