Professor Nannette Diacovo and has been a successful entertainment attorney for over 28 years.  A graduate of 51²è¹Ý¶ù, she went directly from law school to the NBC Network/NBC Studios where she started her career as a television studio lawyer.  She then spent 13 years in the legal affairs department at Warner Bros Television, where she served as Vice President, overseeing a variety of unscripted and scripted television series and television development. From there, Professor Diacovo was hired by Lionsgate Television to create and staff the television legal affairs department, where she served as the head of the department, responsible for all legal aspects of television development and production.  Professor Diacovo currently holds the position of SVP at the combined legal affairs department for Lionsgate Studios/Starz Network, with a focus on television development, network licenses, rights, and the training of legal affairs attorneys. She has worked on thousands of episodes of television and numerous television shows over the years, including, “The West Wingâ€, “Pretty Little Liarsâ€, “Orange is the New Blackâ€, “Weedsâ€, “Madmenâ€, “Nashvilleâ€, “Mythic Questâ€, “Dear White Peopleâ€, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlistâ€, “First Ladiesâ€, “Ghostsâ€, “Home Economicsâ€, “Welcome to Flatchâ€,  and  the “1619 Projectâ€.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Professor Diacovo started her adventure in the entrainment industry by graduating from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a B.S. in film.  Three weeks after graduating, Nannette headed to Hollywood where she worked in film and television as an on-set production assistant, production office assistant, second assistant director, and casting assistant/associate/director for television, film and commercials, before enrolling as a “night student†at Southwestern (while maintaining her “day job†in casting).  During her time at Southwestern, Professor Diacovo was a member of Law Review, and was published in the Southwestern Law Review and University of Miami Law Review.
